The Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library, along with the American Library Association and libraries across the country, will be celebrating Library Card Signup Month throughout September.

To commemorate this special occasion, the Willoughby-Eastlake Library would like to hear from patrons about why they love the library and what keeps them coming back, according to a press release.

Interested individuals are invited to submit a one to two minute video explaining how WE Libraries has positively impacted their lives. Submissions can be sent to [email protected] and can be featured on WE Library social media platforms.

During the month, libraries work together in a nationwide effort to ensure that every child signs up for a library card. Through access to technology, media resources and educational programs, a library card gives students the tools to succeed, the statement said.

At the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library, patrons will find a wide variety of educational resources, programs and events, digital services, tailored programs for children with varying learning styles and abilities and more. says the press release.

“The Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library continues to adapt and expand our services to meet the needs of our community. communications and outreach coordinator Michelle Hudson said in the release.
