Next month’s slate of activities at the Pine Island Public Library has topics for all ages. The following programs are free to the public.
Adult programs

Receive personalized help downloading eBooks, movies, music and more from Overdrive and Hoopla, two of Lee County Library System‘s largest online content providers. Bring your fully charged digital device for this hands-on help session. Note: Please bring any passwords you may need to download apps. Kindle users will also need an Amazon account and their password to access it.
Technical Thursdays: individual help
3:30 p.m., Thursdays May 12 and 26
Do you need help with a laptop, tablet or e-reader? Looking to learn basic computer skills? We can help. Bring your fully charged device and all passwords for a one-on-one 15-minute technology session. Registration is mandatory.
Out of This World Glow Bingo
2 p.m., Saturday May 28
Turn off the library lights and turn on the black lights for that glow-in-the-dark bingo fun.
Children’s programs
Family story time
10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 3
For children up to 5 years old and accompanying persons. Families with young children enjoy a variety of stories, songs, rhymes and movements. Space is limited. First come, first served.
STEM fairy tale
10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 10
Join this fun STEM program featuring your favorite fairy tale friends: Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Three Gruff Goats and Three Little Pigs. STEM construction kits will be available along with other hands-on activities.
Play dough and literacy fun
10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 17
Crush, mash, roll and cut. This parent-led literacy activity will give preschoolers the opportunity to strengthen little fingers while cutting out letters and shapes from play dough.
Out of this world: STEM space
10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 24
Join the fun as preschoolers discover the universe with fun games, activities and art.

Preschool summer fun and games
10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 31
For children up to 5 years old. Take a break from the hot weather and join us for summer fun as we learn new games, play with toys and meet new friends.
