Brighton Public Library has a job for a summer student in Maps.
Brighton Library is recruiting a youth or young adult to serve as a Customer Service Ambassador/Assistant.
This position is for eight weeks and includes 30 hours of work per week. Evening, weekend and holiday work is required.
The successful candidate will assist other team members with day-to-day library operations, including circulation desk duties, reader advisory services, and collection maintenance. There may be an opportunity to participate in the planning and implementation of summer program initiatives, such as the TD Summer Reading Club and the Pop-Up Library.
Qualifications for the position include excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work in a team, experience using computers and more.
The job is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Summer Jobs program. Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30 and legally authorized to work in Canada.
The salary is $16 per hour.
