Wellbeing fun in store at Liverpool Public Library – Eagle News Online

LIVERPOOL – We know that members of the Liverpool community have a special place in their hearts for the annual mitten tree.
The donation event is taking place in the main hall of the Liverpool Public Library until Saturday 18th December. You will find room under the tree to place new or handmade mittens, gloves, hats and scarves. At the end of the Mitten Tree campaign, we will take the items to a local charity for distribution to those in need. In recent years, donations have been in the hundreds. We hope to continue this success this year.
It’s fun to watch warm winter clothes piling up under the tree thanks to the generosity of our customers.
The annual Salvation Army Christmas Office distribution is also in full swing right now at the LPL.
Bring new, unwrapped toys to the collection point in the main room until Thursday, December 9. We’ll bring them to the Salvation Army drop-off day in downtown Syracuse, where they’ll be part of the annual drop-off day for those in the community who register to participate in the annual event for families in the need.
Find information on fundraising on the calendar page of our website (lpl.org/events/programs-and-events/events-calendar).
If you think you want your kids to experience the joy of doing something heartfelt for someone special, there is still room left in our DIY Holiday Gifts and Cards event, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, in the community. Carman. Room.
We will provide material to create gifts or cards. Children ages 5 to 12 should bring their imaginations to the holiday season. Register on our LibCal page (lpl.libcal.com/event/8398045).
