November 23, 2021 3:30 a.m.
The Roseburg Public Library will reopen to the public on November 23.
A statement said the building has been closed to visitors since mid-August, due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
The library will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, November 23 and 24, but will be closed for the remainder of Thanksgiving week.
From November 30, the library’s opening hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays. This timeline will continue for the foreseeable future.
The statement said customers are urged to limit their visits to one hour. Masks or face coverings must be worn inside the building at all times. Public computers, Wi-Fi and printing services will be available.
Meeting rooms will not be available. Library staff will not accept reservations for future use of the meeting room.
Library sponsored programs will remain virtual and run through Facebook or Zoom.
Guests can also use the contactless pickup service, which will be available during all library hours of operation to the public. Those wishing to use this service should park in designated places in front of the building and call the number on the nearby sign to have the materials delivered to their vehicle.
The press release says the library will resume using volunteers.
