We are delighted to be back at the Stettler Trade Show on April 8th, 9th and 10th.

This will be a long-awaited return to the trade show; Word is there will be over one hundred and twenty five vendors with entertainment including: an Elvis tribute, Snow Circus, magic, agility dogs, a puppet show and more.

What a fantastic way to spend your weekend and see all the cool products and services available locally!

Another good reason to come to the show are the competitions!

Register at the various kiosks for a chance to win cool items.

Easter is coming, kisses!

We know you love slime and Peeps, so we wondered what would happen if we combined them?

That’s what we’ll be doing on Saturday April 16 at 10:30 a.m. or 12 p.m.

It might be messy, but it will be fun. Places are limited, so call us to reserve your spot. From 6 years old.

We’re having Adult Games Night at the library this month on Thursday, April 22 from 6-8 p.m.

Come anytime for JackBox games. We will also have the VR system running and the video games will also be running. You will need a mobile phone for JackBox games. Adult games are for people over the age of 18.

If you like the game, be sure to join us on Monday evenings between 8 and 9:30 p.m.

We host a weekly online gaming tournament with the Rocky Mountain House Public Library. No registration is required, you will need to have “Nintendo Switch Online” to participate and we will share a Discord link to communicate with other players online. All ages are welcome.

For teens and tweens, we’re hosting a snack tasting session!

We have many options for you to try, including chips, chocolate, soft drinks, Oreos and more! You might discover a new favorite snack! Drop by the library on Thursday, April 14 for a mini feast! We meet at 6 p.m. Call the library to register. From 10 years old.

Growing plants without soil? It seems impossible, right?

Well, it’s totally possible with hydroponic gardening. Join Mike Thurlborn of Over the Top Hydroponics on Saturday, April 30 at 12 p.m. to learn how to grow your produce year-round. We will meet at the library. For all ages.

It’s great to check out books, but who doesn’t want to own their favorites?

The Stettler Friends of the Library Society Giant Book Sale returns Friday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All sales are by donation. We’ve curated the best used books for sale, so stop in and stock up!

We would like to warmly thank all those who have made book donations! Funds raised will be used to support more programs at the library.

Spring is finally here, and with it comes the return of the birds.

Create your own little bird to spruce up your home at Crystal’s Crafting Club. We will use scraps of yarn to create our own birds while we spend time together, again in person. We will meet on Thursday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. Call the library for more information.

Take part in the “Eggcellent” Olympics.

We will have various fun games to play with eggs and maybe even chickens! This will be something cool after school. Call the library to register, then drop by Tuesday, April 12 or Thursday, April 14 at 4 p.m. Call the library to register!

Do you find computers confusing?

Make an appointment with Shaunzy, and he will be happy to help you. He knows how to use 3D printers and digital conversion equipment, so he can certainly help you! Call the library to make an appointment. Shaunzy is available most Saturdays from 1-6 p.m.

“Read a thousand books and your words will flow like a river.” (Virginia Woolf) Let your child’s words flow like a river by registering them for 1,000 pounds before kindergarten.

If you register with the Stettler Public Library, they will receive a book to keep for each milestone you complete. Then pick up a reading journal from the library or download the free 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten app to track your child’s progress.
