Somerville Public Library Board seeks three members

The Somerville Public Library Board is seeking three new members and all residents of Somerville are welcome to apply. Councils and Commissions provide residents with extensive experience, skills, expertise and perspectives the opportunity to share their talents and ideas with their community.
The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the Somerville Public Library. The board works with the library manager to oversee the library’s operational and administrative policies. Trustees also support libraries through long-term strategic planning, advocacy, public relations, and outreach efforts.
The Board of Directors generally meets the second Wednesday of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Directors serve a three-year term on a voluntary basis. Trustees are appointed by the Mayor.
