Public consultation: the Head of State chairs a meeting on the preparations for the launch of the online platform
President Kais Saied chaired a meeting on Wednesday at the Palace of Carthage which reviewed the preparations underway for the launch of the online platform dedicated to public consultation.
According to a press release from the presidency, the meeting took place in the presence of Prime Minister Najla Bouden-Romdhane, Minister of Social Affairs Malek Ezzahi, Minister of Education Fathi Slaouti, Minister of Youth and Sports Kamal Dguich and the Minister of Communication Technologies Nizar Neji.
President Kais Saied listened to a presentation on the different technical aspects of this electronic platform, its operating mechanisms and how to participate.
Saied specified that the public consultation should be launched on the fixed date, namely January 1, 2022, in application of the decisions announced on December 13.
The Head of State stressed the need to provide all the technical guarantees so that this electronic platform is an “interactive” and “secure” framework for recording the proposals of citizens from here and elsewhere. “Tunisians must be involved in the formulation of proposals in various fields. These proposals will then be developed, before the next deadlines scheduled for 2022,” he said in the same statement.
The President of the Republic declared during the meeting “this consultation is part of the establishment of a new vision allowing the “sovereign” Tunisian people to express themselves freely.
For his part, the Minister of Communication Technologies Nizar Neji reviewed the most important components of this digital platform, which contains 30 questions to be answered, with spaces for free expression for people who would participate with an identity. “unknown”.
The Minister indicated that access to this platform will be made after the participant has received a secret number sent by SMS by dialing * 1712 # followed by the number of the national identity card.
