Public consultation on Leeds City Council’s annual budget begins

Public consultation on Leeds City Council’s annual budget proposals to deliver estimated savings of £65.4 million over the next financial year has now begun.
The 2022/23 budget proposals include a proposal to increase council tax by 1.99% for basic council tax and the 1% government requires for adult social care funding. A full budget press release can be viewed at Leeds City Council which presents annual budget proposals to deliver the estimated £65.4m savings needed over the next financial year.
The online consultation survey is now live at https://yourvoice.leeds.gov.uk/lcc-budget-2022-23, and will continue until the end of Thursday, January 13. Opinions and comments will also be received from a range of stakeholders, including city councillors, trade unions, business representatives and third sector groups. Staff at council-run community hubs will be able to help people complete the survey.
All feedback received will be taken into account as part of the final budget proposals which will be discussed by the council’s executive board on Wednesday February 9, before being debated and voted on at the full council meeting on Wednesday February 23.
