An online survey is ongoing between January 3 and January 28 at: Community engagement Tetuxwtun (ethelo.net.
One of the project’s priorities, beyond affordable rental housing, includes a new location for the school district’s Learning Alternatives program.
Funding for the initiative was announced in 2020. It is a partnership between BC Housing, Snuneymuxw First Nation, the City of Nanaimo and Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools.
“When to start construction will depend on how long it takes to complete the rezoning and also to obtain any other necessary permits,” BC Housing said.
