TONAWANDA, NEW YORK, USA, June 17, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Parents are not the enemies of our schools and various school officials and statewide boards agree , now more than ever. To date, 25 states have terminated their affiliation with the National School Boards Association, according to Breaking Report, in their June 15, 2022, article titled “25 States Have Now Left the National School Boards Association as Another State Leaves away”. Fox News headlines also featured numerous stories citing parents branded as “domestic terrorists.” (see sources below) Parents have spoken out at school board meetings expressing their desire to have a say in their children’s education regarding various crises related to school safety, loss of learning due to the pandemic, the controversial curriculum and other topics. The federal government has jumped on this bandwagon and is taking a pro-parent stance because parents will be instrumental in helping schools become the vital academic centers that all students deserve.
The June 14, 2022 article in The US News & World Report headline reads, “New Education Department Effort Aims to Elevate Role of Parents in Schools.” This non-partisan initiative couldn’t be more timely as Pushing Boundaries Consulting, LLC has released a monumental NEW book titled, Educational REHAB: An Unprecedented Opportunity to Restore K-12 Public Education. This will help communities have a voice at the table to reform our country’s schools in critical areas such as evidence-based teaching practices, mental health supports for children, and program implementation that can sometimes become controversial.
“Parents provide a critical perspective and they should always have a seat at the table whenever decisions are made that impact their children.
-Anna King, President of the National Association of Parents and Teachers
“We are going to come and have very truthful and very courageous conversations and say the things that need to be said at this table. That’s what the department needs to hear, that’s what Secretary Cardona needs to hear, and that’s what President Biden needs to hear right now.”
-Keri Rodrigues, president and co-founder of the National Union of Parents
This newly developed parent council, led by the U.S. Department of Education, is a BIG step toward restoring public K-12 education. Anything that hindered success, pre-pandemic or deprived children of fair and healthy educational practices must involve the voice and contribution of parents and the community. Parents are the solution and must be at the table in their local school communities. Rebecca Coda was recently interviewed on Daily Flash Trending News & Entertainment where she shared “3 ways parents can stand together to strengthen America’s public schools.” Ending the war in public education requires a forum or process that provides all stakeholders with a respectful way to interact through discourse, a common language and understanding of effective academic practices, and a voice based on perception and needs. Educational REHAB provides the framework to facilitate these end-of-war conversations, and more. There is power in grassroots grassroots movements and EDUCATIONAL REHABILITATION is a response to the frustration that parents have experienced in recent years. The end of the war will happen when everyone answers Educational REHAB’s “call to action”. Parents don’t have to wait to be invited to the discussion table at the state or local level, because Educational REHAB equips parents and any community member to initiate that conversation in a local school community. Everyone can do something!
Educational REHAB can be purchased by schools for use in their communities with US bailout funding so that community involvement can continue to be a partnership, not an unwelcoming battleground to silence the community members.
