Friday May 13 at 11 a.m. — Virtual program — Frédéric Chopin: “Brushed By An Angel’s Wing”
This is a special morning program run in partnership with Tewksbury Public Library. A calm and reserved man who lived for his art, Frédéric Chopin appeared in just over two dozen public concerts. His music is filled with moments of intense depth and angst. However, despite suffering physical and mental agony for most of his life, his playing was graceful, poignant and delicate. Immerse yourself in the contrasting life of this 19th century musical prodigy who preferred darkness when the world yearned so much for its light. Dan Lupo, creator of FiveMinuteMozart.com, a music education platform with over 2 million views and over 20,000 subscribers, will present an incredible music education program chronicling the life and accomplishments of one of the greatest composers in the history of music. Dan’s program will include an oral lecture as well as live piano performances.
