City of Groveland Announces Langley-Adams Public Library is Hiring Part-Time Library Assistant

GROVELAND – City of Groveland and Langley-Adams Public Library Manager Darcy Lepore would like to share that the Langley-Adams Public Library is hiring a part-time library assistant.

The part-time Library Assistant position is 18.5 hours per week and requires alternating Saturdays and hours throughout the work week, including at least one evening per week. The rate of pay is $15.05/hour without benefits.

Candidates must be able to work in a team, but also to undertake projects assigned by the library director, the youth services librarian or the adult services librarian. Candidates must also be able to work with the public and adapt to new technologies, software, procedures and policies.

Regular duties include interacting with patrons in the circulation desk, processing and cataloging new items, processing interlibrary loan materials, and other office duties. Other odd jobs may include preparing crafts for story hours, displays, bulletin boards, writing book reviews or other materials, reading bookshelves, etc.
